Despite the numerous grammatical problems where the publisher appears to have accidentally split up sentences this is hands down one of greatest Australian true crime books ever written.

Poignant and sad, Steven comes through the pages as more than just the drug dealer he has been portrayed as by the media. Overwhelming this is a heart breaking read by a man who has suffered the ultimate betrayal by a women he will forever love. A man who had everything but didn't know the right time to quit while he was ahead is paying the ultimate price.

It's a book that should be a must-read for those who think that a life of crime will pay in the long run.

Godfather of Ecstasy in Australia, but not the cliche drug criminal!

Very interesting read. He definitely isn't as the media or the police had portrayed him to be. Good to get the inside story and to see what motivated him to produce the pills. The first 3/4 of the book is excellent and really interesting, the last 1/4 less interesting as it becomes too focussed on his relationship obsession. He certainly lived a life I could never conceive doing.
Interesting to see how the judicial and prison system works. Innocent until proven guilty is not how our system is run. The police use more threats and intimidation than the criminals to get prosecutions!

This is a great and entertaining read by a man who lived life in the fast lane but also in the criminal world. His past and present were bound to catch up with him, and they did.

Experiencing the highs of a glamours life and also the lows of prison life. His love for one woman is unfailing and he really did truly love, some people never get to experience this in their life time.

I hope you do find your fairy tale ending.

The drama of Good Friday

Sean Walsh has written a thought-provoking and powerful play, indeed trio of plays, about the drama of Good Friday, taking his inspiration from the passion according to Matthew and, in particular, from the evangelist's portrayal of Pilate, his wife, Barabbas, the two insurectionists who were crucified with Jesus, the Roman centurion and Joseph of Arimathea. The result is an imaginative re-telling of the Passion story that allows us to hear it in a way that speaks to our times. The characters in this drama are real people; the dilemmas they stuggle with are authentic human dilemmas. All the time Jesus is off-stage, yet his absent presence is the catalyst for the many dramas within this dramatic text. Of all the characters, Pilate alone is a person of power. Yet, by the end of the play we are left wondering if the way he exercises power has robbed him of all authority. The contemporary resonances are palpable.

A wonderful read, it's so believable, as though the writer himself was there and part of it all, he takes us on a remarkable journey leading up to the crucifixion of Jesus. Would make a great screenplay.

We know the Good Friday story all too well - or do we?
In "At the Praetorium" Walsh views the trial and crucifixion of Christ
through another prism - the eyes and feelings of the "minor" characters
in the story, thieves, servants, soldiers, Pilate's wife. In doing so,
he moves US, the audience, centre-stage and challenges our
convictions.

It would take a highly-talented playwright to construct new drama
from the most dramatic day in world history. Such is Walsh's talent
that he has managed to chisel out in a simple but stark fashion a
whole new perspective on the Crucifixion story. Indeed, he is genuinely
asking, "Were you there when they crucified my Lord?"

Three fast-moving and sparely-written one-act plays [the third one a
fusion of the first two] capture the mood, tension and the challenge
of Good Friday in a wholly new and convincing fashion.

About the Author
Hugh Milne is a third-generation Scottish osteopath. He spends most of professional time teaching visionary craniosacral work in Germany, Italy, Japan, the United States, and Switzerland. He was born in 1948 and received his professional training at the British College of Naturopathy and Osteopathy in London. Repeated and startling clairvoyant revelations before and after graduation led to a determination to learn more about working with the inner eye. This search for higher teachings took him to India, where he lived for seven years. Hugh spent the last fifteen years developing his teaching work. He lives in Big Sur, California, where he is the director of the Milne Institute.

A beautiful book on the pure poetry of healing

This generous book offers stories on healing and awakening from various traditions, both ancient and modern. It puts cranial sacral therapy in place in a long tradition of ancient practices. The author is extremely well read, eloquent, and a fascinating storyteller. When I need inspiration as a healer, I go to this work. It can be read at a surface level for beginners, and there are thousands of opportunities to go deeper for more advanced practitioners. One of my favorite books, and I've read so so many.

I'm still reading this book and have found it very informative. I am an Upledger cranial sacral therapist and am finding new insights that will give me more tools to use in my practice. When I'm finished with this book, I will definitely order the second volume.

Excellent book. As I have practiced Biodynamic Craniosacral Therapy for years, i was curious about Visionary Craniosacral Therapy. Many new thoughts to add to my practice. A great book for the person who doesn't practice and wants to gain some insight inot Craniosacral and how the body/mind/spirit work. Thank (God) for people writing books such as these.

US Army special operations medical Sergeant Leo "Doc" Jenkins is a veteran of multiple combat deployments to Afghanistan and Iraq as a member of 3rd Ranger Battalion. He is the graduate of several US special operations medical courses and recipient of awards for valor in combat.

Awesome book!

I served with Leo in 3/75, never in the same platoon but I spent time with his sister platoon down the hall. Who knew us big dumb Rangers could spell words much less write so well??? Lest We Forget is a great read that never lulled in its pace of either action or humor and made it pretty tough to put it down. Here's to making sure history doesn't forget us! Cheers.

A great book--I highly recommend it!!

My first thoughts about a quarter of the way into this book were, “Exciting, patriotic (real patriotism, not mouthed), respectful, family, humorous and honest.” By the way, did I say, “respectful?”

This book is gritty and honest. You feel like you right there with the author—only I was safe at home because of what he and his brothers have done for this nation. The missions were real and intense and the reader feels it all. This was a book that was hard to put down and when I finished, I wanted more.

This was a patriotic book depicting what the young men of our special forces do for our safety. Situations (which no one ought to have to live through) are depicted in descriptive language. The author not only takes you through the stark events of the various missions, but he gives you a glimpse into the mind and thinking of a young man serving his country. The language is strong, but so are the incidents described.

Family is an important emphasis in this book—both brothers in arms and relatives back home. The author depicts a relationship with his father that will become the envy of every reader. He also talks about and describes real life sacrifice in the service of one’s nation and way of life (sacrificing comfort and employment back home). There is a subtle warning that can be picked up as one reads the book—don’t take for granted the freedoms that we in the United States possess!!

This is an extremely humorous book (considering its topic). Honestly, though, humor is the only way to get through it and keep one’s sanity. On multiple occasions, I actually, “laughed out loud.” However, it is respectful humor. There is no unnecessary mocking of anyone or anything.

Finally, when I finished the book, what I really wanted to do was find a soldier and say, “thank you!” I highly recommend this courageous, exciting and readable book.

Doc Jenkins, just finished your book. Great read. As one of the original Ranger Medics in Charlie Company, 2nd Ranger Battalion in 1974, it did my heart and soul good to see the attitude and traditions that make a Ranger Medic so unique being carried on. Thank you for sharing your tale!

Craig A. Everett, PhD, is Director of the Arizona Institute of Family Therapy and is in private practice in Tucson, Arizona. He is a past president of the American Association for Marriage and Family Therapy and is the Editor of The Journal of Divorce and Remarriage. He is the author or editor of 14 books.

Sandra Volgy Everett, PhD, is Director of Clinical Education at the Arizona Institute of Family Therapy and is in private practice in Tucson, Arizona. The author or editor of 3 books, two of which were cowritten with Craig A. Everett, she also has published numerous journal articles on clinical work with children in family therapy and on divorce.

Highly recommended; a great resource for family therapists!

An excellent resource! I'm a therapist working with children, couples, and families where ADHD is sometimes an issue at various levels. This book covers all of the bases, noting issues in the parent-child subsystem, the marital subsystem, the sibling subsystem, and the whole system in general. Good, practical wisdom!

This is a great read for understanding how ADHD plays into family dynamics and understanding the impact on each member. I recommend this book for anyone with ADHD in their family, counselors, therapists, and social workers or those who work with families struggling with ADHD.
